Created as part of a daily October challenge for Inktober 2023, this piece explores Geometric forms mixed with a Grafitti like style. A melting candle, its wax dripping and solidifying into deep shadows, holds a flame that seems almost alive.
The physics of fire are strange. Unlike most things, flames don’t cast shadows, yet they consume oxygen to stay alive. The flickering movement is caused by constant micro-explosions as the wax vaporizes and ignites. Here, that dance is exaggerated, a great addition for lovers of moody, atmospheric art.
