This is Daisy, the three-tailed betta. Unlike some of the fish in the LITT Designs collection, he never existed in real life. But if nature allowed it, maybe he could.

Bettas already have fascinating genetics. The double-tailed betta, a real breed, develops two distinct caudal fins split down the middle. This trait comes from careful, selective breeding over decades. The extra tail changes their body structure, giving them better balance but also making them more fragile. Daisy pushes that idea even further.

His golden-yellow fins explode outward, an exaggerated flourish of movement. The third tail doesn’t exist in nature, but it feels possible—like evolution just hadn’t caught up yet. Bettas already command attention with their aggressive flaring, using their fins to intimidate rivals or attract mates. Daisy, with his extra fin power, looks like he’d dominate the water with ease.
